Data Ecologies Visualizations

This system was developed to provide a case study for intelligent buildings from a creative and artistic perspective. For this reason, a number of environmental sensors were used in a large architectural space (Portland Square building, in Plymouth University), previously installed for the Arch-OS framework, developed by i-DAT. In this scenario, the data are used to create realtime visualizations that relate to the observed natural phenomena. Moreover, the system uses various APIs to extract, share, and collaborate data processing for a number of different goals - defined by the user. For example, Twitter messages can control the visualization process, or sensor data feeds can be streamed in social networks

The system was presented at the Data Ecologies Symposium (i-DAT, Plymouth University).
